Have you verified there is no output on the DVI ? I have the HTL-HD also, and it shows RGB on my front panel, but output's fine on the DVI port.

Just thought I would post an update. ValueElectronics came through like a champ! The installation could not have gone better. The installer was very knowledgeable and did an excellent install. Got my parents all set up with an 70 hr Tivo and the new RCA DTC-210, everything working...

That would seem to be the simplest solution, unless he can not get one easily or cheap.

the sats are in three different locations, so it wouldn't be as easy as making a change on the receiver. You would have to re-align the dish each time you switch from locals to national channels. If it is even possible, I have never tried it myself.

According to This Page your locals are on the 101. Which is the main bird, so you shouldnt need a triple dish to receive those channels. And according toThis Page they are on transponder 31. Whats the signal strength on transponder 31 on your tailgate dish?
