2016-17 NHL Season

I think this is the season the Red Wings playoff streak comes to an end. Last season at there current area as well.

Bruins fire Claude Julien and then hold a press conference at 11:30 this morning......right when the Patriots Super Bowl parade was starting. Totally gutless and classless by Bruins management with the timing. This was premeditated, they knew the fans and media attention would be elsewhere.

Thanks for the Stanley Cup in 2011 Claude, but I think you're better off to be detached from this sh*tshow!!

A true Quality coach who pays for the GM's mistake....wont be unemployed for long if he chooses to be. Next stop: Montreal.

or Las Vegas next year

Doubt it. Unless the owners made Julien an offer he can't refuse (ie- more than just money) no way a coach with his tenure and resume will go to an expansion club.

If it ain't Montreal, then I say Florida or Vancouver

I saw that too ....

Good Call !

How would you like to be the Canadians coach .... in 1st place and still get fired ...

Yep... The Montreal Canadians broke up w/ their coach and got back with their EX on Valentine's Day.

On the first practice, tons of media and 2 outlets broadcasted the practice live and over 500 fans showed up.

Well the 25 season playoff streak for the wings officially ended last night. what a ride it was, ESPN had a nice piece on this morning, looking back, wow where there some great teams, The Russian five, Steve Yzerman leading the way and so many others. What a run it was, as the move into the new area now the slow rebuild begins as it will be a while as there are some horrible long term contracts on this team

Sadly they will go into the new digs with a very average team.

Last game at Joe Louis arena for the wings today. Should be a fun atmosphere, and fun to see the alumni that come back

Nice tribute to The Joe on FSD.
Last day, plenty of memories for me .... from the Day Steve Yzerman was selected to his retirement.
I continue to follow the Wings, just not as much as back then.
