Just because they are in the same division doesn't mean they play the same schedule ....
For the most part it does, the only difference in conference schedule is the permanent cross division opponent (Alabama-Tennessee, Texas A&M-South Carolina), and the rotating cross division opponent (Alabama-Vanderbilt, Texas A&M-Florida). There 6 other division games are all identical, they play each other and LSU, Ole Miss, Miss State, Auburn and Arkansas.
Are you gonna tell me that Texas A&M is in the same class as Bama, the Buckeyes and Bulldogs ?
You're basically buying into the "Blue Bloods get ranked by their name" mentality because must not have looked Georgia's schedule, consisting of the SEC (L)East, Auburn and Miss St.

Whose gonna beat those teams more than once in a great while ?Those Top three are there for more than thier name....

They don't lose very often.

Blue bloods are there for a reason.

How do the Non Conference games stack up ?

There’s some pretty good matchups coming up this weekend:

10 PSU @ 5 Michigan
3 Alabama @ 6 Tennessee
8 OKST @ 13 TCU
15 NCST @ 18 Syracuse
16 MSST @ 22 Kentucky
7 USC @ 20 Utah

It will be the 2nd time in CFB history there are three matchups of teams 5-0 or better on the same day.

I'm gonna predict that THE Ohio State Buckeyes will fall out of the #2 spot by this time next week. (Even though they could or should possibly be #1 now.)

Fwiw, they have a Bye week, so they should not move one way or the other, unless Georgia should lose. (They play Vandy, so THAT ain't happening)

I haven’t seen this woman before. They usually have the same two women playing all the female roles.

The first playoff rankings are out

1 - Tennessee
2 - Ohio State
3 - Georgia
4 - Clempson
5 - Michigan
6 - Alabama
7 - TCU
8 - Oregon
9 - USC(w)

I see whats gonna happen here .... Georgia and Tennesee are playing this weekend, If Georgia wins, they will swap spots or move to 1 and 2.
Ohio State will win this weekend, probably convincingly, 30+ points and either drop to #3 or stay at #2 ...
Still not sure how Clemson is in the top 4, every time I watch them they struggle for most of the game and run away at the end.

Keep in the back of your head, Bama is Not done, if they win the sec west, they will play Tennessee or Georgia and a win would put them right back in the thick of it all.

Wait... OSU moved up with that unconvincing win while Georgia dropped two spots after a convincing defeat of Florida? Yes, Penn State is ranked, but they are more "ranked" than ranked. Tennessee should be 2, but 1 is acceptable. So 1 v 3, almost so that OSU can stick to 2nd regardless of outcome.

I think Clemson is 4th because Alabama has one loss. Looking down the list, man, college football is as bad as the NFL this year. There aren't many great teams.

The goal is for Georgia to beat Tennessee by only a few points, and then for Alabama to beat Georgia by just a couple in the SEC Championship in order to allow the SEC to have 3 teams in the playoff. ;)

What happens if ND beats Clemson? That would shake up alot
It would drop Clempson out of the running and open a slot up for TCU if they continue to run the tables.

As of now, the playoff is shaping up to be:
SEC Champion (Georgia/Tennessee or Alabama)
Loser of Georgia-Tennessee Game
Big Ten Champion
Clempson

ESPN is laughing all the way to the bank with this rankings show. They announce meaningless rankings and stretch it out to an hour show.

Simple fact is that, with Notre Dame eliminated, and the Pac 12 all having at least one loss, it is undefeated SEC champ, undefeated ACC champ, undefeated Big 10 champ, and undefeated Big 12 champ until one of those things no longer exists. Then there will be something to talk about.
