Comments from a newbie to FTA

Swapping in the GeosatPro SL1PLL to replace the Invacom didn't change things for receiving WPR. I can receive WPR well on the V9 Prime with either LNB. But I can only see an indication of a signal but no lock on WPR with the Edision Mio+ using either LNB.

Even with said LNB, isn't a receiver capable of
tuning lower symbol rates and more precise frequencies still required?
Yes. It is a combination of a capable receiver and frequency stable LNB. The AFC process for most tuners is quite adequate, but the minimum SR handling is the limiting factor. A PLL LNB teamed with an external TXCO reference source will provide the best stable signal for decoding.

Unfortunately, aging Invacoms have proven to be quite thermal frequency unstable.

Locked a low SR on the Amiko on 87 KU-

This is using an Amiko non-PLL LNB, which is remarkable. However, I do not know the audio PIDS for this feed, which appears to be the "Family Life Ministries" mux.

The fact that the problem is solved when you go to 105 then back to 101 sounded like a potential motor issue, but I don't know anything about C-band actuators.
I think I figured this out: I think my 101W C band settings under "Antenna Setup" didn't specify the diseqc command. For some weird reason I could flip to 105W (which engaged the correct diseqc commands in the settings), and when I switched back to 101W I guess the receiver "forgot" that it wasn't supposed to not send a diseqc command (yes I realize this wording is confusing).

Cn, Just make sure you adjust the difference between offset dish that are used to do it on Ku band, now you got focus point dish in a C band world your angle look will be little higher so just adjust the difference between offset and focus dish pointing to the birds.🙂👍 :hatsoff
