Have it on my account from day one. Never have an issue getting things repaired/fixed.

Others say to add it when you need something serviced, then take it off when the repair is done.
 
Do people really do this? I have a purchased 622 with an HDMI connection that doesn't work and have been wondering what my options are for getting it fixed or replaced.
Yep, I know someone who added it for the sole purpose of swapping a 622 he also bought with a bad hdmi. After the swap out, he then dropped the plan.
