Difference between D10 and D11?

I was asked what the difference between DirecTV receiver D10 and D11.
Also any idea when each one was released?

I am thinking speed, features, sats they can receive?

D10 and D11 are satellites not receivers

I think there is a D10 receiver in addition to a D10 satellite. Not sure if there is a D11 receiver.

As far as the D10 and D11 satellites, I think they are fairly identical.

There are 3 basic receivers that I know of; D10, D11 & D12

D10-200 · D10-300, D11-100 · D11-300 · D11-500 · D11-800, D12-300

Not sure what the differences are other than D12 supports SWM.

I guess you can try the D* website and download the users manuals and compare the feature differences (if any). Maybe someone else knows hardware diffs.

Well, I believe that they are satellite designations as well.
