Nick At Nite is also a block. Since Nick/Cartoon Network aren't even on the lists then people must watch those blocks more than they watch the channel during any other time of the day.

Probably, I was just taking note of how the same "channel" when showing certain programming is doing better during their "block."

Read earlier posts. I just edited this post because I really am not in the mood to continue this mindless argument with you. You aren't worth my time Sam. You jump into a conversation late read one of my responses to other post and have twenty comments. This is something I will make sure I don't do in the future to others. I did make sense. That's all I have to say to you.
Edit: Never mind. You're right, it's not worth it.

WOW, Any doubts about Dish being trigger happy on this are going out window. This may prove to be great for providers that are coming up for renewal with AMC in the future with two providers agreeing about the price of carriage. I do not know when all these agreements are coming but these two will set the market up or down.

AMC is the provider. Dish/ATT/DirecTV/Cable are carriers.
Depends on how you look at it I guess. AMC provides television programming. Dish/ATT/DirecTV/Cable provide pay TV services.

Plus, a quick Google search of "TV providers" returns a lot of sites referring to Dish/ATT/DirecTV/Cable....

Terminology aside. It does make the Dish AMC dispute more interesting.

Terminology aside. It does make the Dish AMC dispute more interesting.

It will harden the resolve of both Dish and ATT in the near term. AMC was facing losing 10%-14% of their households with Dish, now add on another 3%-4% with UVerse. If they lose both, it will severely weaken their position in any future negotiations and almost certainly knock them out of their top 20 spot.

I for one won't drop DISH and move to Directv at $80+ a month for one channel. I'd end up losing a bunch of HD channels that Directv doesn't carry...BBC AMERICA, EPIX 1,2,3, G4, HISTORY iNTERNATIONAL, INDIE & RETROPLEX, INVESTIGATION DISCOVERY, NATGEOWILD, PIXL, TURNER CLASSIC MOVIES, etc. If DISH does drop AMC I think AMC will soon realize that they are the real loser.

It's a balancing act. As you point out you lose those channels in HD (and some totally) just for AMC. If AMC is a highly watched channel in your home and those aren't I guess you might switch. I see no guarantee AMC will survive with no interruption with other carriers either however, and of course there are those who have said they were switching to Uverse all because of AMC. For all we know Dish (and Uverse) will have come to agreements and Direct TV will be the one not carrying it..... Point is, and has been all along if you are blaming Dish for this and threatening to leave all over AMC, be prepared to threaten to leave the carrier you go to also.
I'll say it again as I have all along. The way Dish handled this is bush league, and no doubt spurred by the Voom law suit. But the essence of the dispute is what it would be with or without VOOM, it's cost and the mandate to carry all their channels. That being the case, the chance this will happen with other carriers certainly seems probable, unless AMC caves now.

$80/month total for DirecTV service, or $80 more a month for DirecTV than you are paying for Dish?
