No just cband . Is it worth putting a ku on it? I notice titanium has a c/ku combo lnb. Or do i have to use a side bracket on the cband lnb.

I think it would if the holes on the dish are small enough that the lead on a pencil will not pass all the way through down to the wood. If the hole test is good, you can add a side bracket and get good reception for KU. I have a side bracket and it changes KU to a 4-degree offset. For example if I'm on 91W on C-band, I'm on 87W on KU. Even with the 4 degree offset I get good KU reception on my 7.5 footer, I often get KU feeds at 70+ in picture quality on a Manhattan 1933.

I bought the bracket off Ebay, I think it was $13. You should find one on Ebay easy.

I have the same Unimesh 7.5' dish and am doing well with dual C/Ku setup. I am using a Invacom prime focus Ku in the center and a sidecar Titanium PLL C LNB. I do have a Titanium C/Ku combo making its way in the mail to see how it does.
I am actually pretty impressed with this set up getting pretty much (90%) of everything in Ku and about the same in C. unimesh1.jpg

I'm not sure how this dish survived as well as it did. It was among probably an original 60 or so BUDs on a local reserve where the are only 3 or 4 still in good shape.

I put a Venture Maxi-24 on it after 2 cheap ones died almost immediately - both within weeks. The Venture Maxi is great.

Well guys. Think i am gonna put up one of these 10 foot i have. I found a 10 foot channel master. This past weekend. With all parts etc. Probably will take the 7.5 off pole. And put the channel master in its place.

Clarification: which ever is at a lower elevation, furthest E or W, is the side one should put the actuator.
Example: Can see 139W, at 21.6° Elevation. All the way over to 30W, at 6.4° elevation.
Actuator is on the east. (although, in my case, I'm limited to 55W by mechanical limitations of the polar mount. Which I'm dreaming about correcting)
55W & 58W are 'nice ones to have' if you can get 'em.
EDIT: Yeah, last satellite azimuth works out the same > whichever side is the greatest azimuth from center would be the side for the actuator

Update . I moved the post. On other side of home. I had some trees. That was blocking satellite 139 west. From behind the 7.5 foot dish it looked like half the dish was hitting the trees and other half was not. Going to start putting 10 foot together in morning. Hopefully the channel master will be up by next saturday. I Will post pics.

Got a question. The focal depth on the 7.5 was 36. I just set it at that because that was the depth on lnb that came on it. Got lucky and it worked with new lnb. This 10 foot came about 30 miles from me and i did not check the focal depth before i took apart. Is it going to be different. Since its a bigger dish?
