With more and more developers publishing games via Kickstarter funding, I figured it made sense to consolidate all these projects into 1 thread so we can share the ones that we think are interesting and/or worthy of attention.

I realize that crowd funding is risky, as there is no guarantee that anything will come from your donations, but it is worth noting that we have gotten some very good games that would not have been possible without crowdfunding. Here's a few popular examples.

Anyways, the former head of the Castlevania series for Konami is asking for funds to basically make another Castlevania game. Obviously it won't be CALLED Castlevania, but it'll be very similar, much like the creator of Mega Man and his Mighty No 9 project essentially being a spiritual successor because the owners of the IP aren't doing anything with it. If you're interested, here is a link. Odds are even if you don't donate they'll still hit their goal, but there are some nice perks if they hit their higher goals. Also, this is a long term project, with the estimated delivery date being in 2017.

So a while back there was talk of some developers and horror gurus making a horror game where YOU play the killer, a'la Friday the 13th or Halloween. Well apparently the people in charge of this recently got the rights to Friday the 13th, so now they're making a Friday the 13th game where you get to play as Jason Voorhees, or play as 1 of 7 camp counselors at Crystal Lake Camp in a 1v7 play method. Also, Tom Savini, the director of the original film, and the most recent actor to play Jason are all involved with the game.

At least we know it can't possible be any worse than the other Friday the 13th games..

I am going to watch this one and see how far they get.

Mutant Football League, the spiritual successor to Mutant League Football, is having a kickstarter. Looks like the game is nearly complete and they just need some money to finish it up.

For those of you that don't remember Mutant League Football, it was basically Genesis Madden but you could kill people, and you were Mutants

The new one looks to be more like classic NFL Blitz than Madden.
