I just use a couple of plastic bags on the Winegard and a cover I made out of one of those folding chair caddies on the Paraclipse.

The dish is fine for Ku, as-is. Just skew it as needed (or motorize).

I'd give the receiver to some unlucky subscriber who had his die.
I understand they're pretty poorly built.

I think its the scrap metal companies are keeping an eye on all craigslist dish postings. They make huge $$$ and not really use it for personal use. It was never like this before.

Just what I was about to say!
This dish (or a Birdview) are my two top picks in the 8' size.
Put on an ortho, and rule the skies; give most 10'ers a run for their money!
$50 is really nothing for this beauty.
AND, we have a number of threads on refurbishing them, too . :up
