I am looking to return to Direct TV after 5 years with Dish and I have been receiving offers starting at $24.99 a month for 12 months. Am I also able to get the referral credit on top of this deal?

OK, what is this referral credit about? I used to be a customer, got a mailer a few weeks ago, am not happy with recent upgrade to cable boxes here, and may very well pull trigger on dish. I do not see anything about a referral credit. I'm not referring anyone so maybe it doesn't matter.
Existing customers can give a friend their account number as a 'referral card' to sign up for a new contract. This gets both the referrer and referree $10 off per month for 10 months. You can refer up to 10 people per year for a total of up to $100 off per month.
