Vbox Problem

I haven't had a chance to experiment with fuses but I hooked up the charger and watched the gauge closely. When actuator extends to track west from 40.5 - 139 it draws very low. When I retract it to come back east from 139 to about 111 it has a higher draw. Once I'm east of 111 its low draw.

Do you have a meter to hook in line to measure the current flow? You may have to try a slow blow fuse, if that motor has a little higher start-up current.
I'll pick up some slow blow fuses tomorrow at RatShack. Will the slow blow fuses harm my vbox if theres something wrong with the motor?

If there is a short, it will still act as a Fast Blow.. :)

I'm using a Venture 24" ball screw actuator on my 10' 'Perfect Ten" dish, along with a V-Box X model, and I have no issues whatsoever with current draw. That actuator is probably 20+ years old, and you can't even hear it run when it's moving the dish! By far the best actuator I've ever used.
