This won't be as popular as the Al thread but I thought the NL needed some representation. Now I might be able to see info about the Pirates, Cards and Reds without going around the Dodgers and Puig.

Welcome NL Central to the 2013 Baseball season and Sports Forums !

Was wondering when this might show up !

The Pirates had a good win last night plus the Reds and Cards lost.

Go Reds. Now only 2 1/2 games back. They go back home and play 4 games against the Diamondbacks.

If the Reds could win three of four or better yet sweep the Dbacks it would all but sew up a playoff spot. The Dbacks are the only team that could realistically catch anyone for the 2nd wild card spot. Of course the Reds still have a good chance at the NL Central title and I would prefer that.

Reds,Cards and Pirates all win. Status quo. Reds do gain a game on the Dbacks for the last wild card spot.

Since making his Pirates debut on May 11, Francisco Liriano has posted a National League leading 14 wins.

The NL .... where OK pitchers go to Soar !
You realize that Liriano is 2-1 vs the AL this year with an ERA of 2.41, which is lower than his ERA against the NL. Two of those three starts were against 1st place teams.

Must be those easier AL lineups he faced?

An interesting fact about Liriano. He has 5 losses this year, with 3 of the 5 being against the Reds.
