2013 NL Central

Worth noting

The Pirates have 9,799 wins since joining the National League in 1887. With another victory, they'll join the Giants, Cubs, Braves, Dodgers and Yankees as the only Major League clubs to amass 9,800 all-time wins.

Uh....the Reds have over 10,000 wins.

OK they are talking wins since 1887, Pirates have over 10,000 also but that includes the AA league.

Since 1887 the Reds have 9,620 wins plus if you count only NL wins they have 9,206 wins.

Reds win again. As of right now they are 2 games back, could be 1 1/2 depending on what the Pirates do tonight.

Reds just about knocked out the Dbacks. Dbacks would have to go on a real hot streak and one of the three NL Central teams would have to fall off the table for them to get a wild card. All three NL Central teams won yesterday so the standings stay the same.

Buster Olney tweeted this. " Andrew McCutchen numbers for the month: .451, .556 OBP, 1.175 OPS. Putting himself in a good position for the MVP voting.' I hope he does win the MVP.

Impressive.

Unfortunately Goldsmith is probably the hands down favorite because of his consistency all year.

Since their team is out he probably get less consideration.

Perhaps. I don't like the fact that team success is such a huge determination for MVP. It's not the payers fault if the rest of the team stinks.

Kershaw may get some MVP votes. I personally don't think pitchers should get it though.
