I've noticed that if I leave my Dish 625 on the same channel for an extended period of time, a dialog box comes up informing me that the receiver will automatically shut off (well, sleep) if I don't press the cancel or no buttons. However, "Yes" is the default option... I'm not here to troll...

Hi everyone, I don't really use the DVR feature of my 625 much anymore and was thinking about switching it with a 322 or a 222k to save the monthly fee. When I called about that csr said that the only way to do that is to schedule a tech to come out. Can it be done by shipping the new one...

I'm curious why nobody's made a custom linux distro based off the linux that 721s and such DVRs that won't receive service soon anymore use. That sounds like it'd be kinda fun. If all else, you could rig some stuff into the box, maybe make it a fancy Mp3 player or something...

Just curious, I always thought they were on 119, but as of late on all my receivers, the locals are dead and I can only get the "normal" channels, also the guide info won't update anymore *shrug* Strange because 119 and 148 are the only satellites I can get a signal from, 110 keeps saying wrong...

So recently, these are my problems: *Downstairs 322: Anything local won't come up - whether it's on 110, 119, or 148, it just plain fails and sometimes dumps a switch error. Ironically, when going into point dish screen, all is fine and dandy with signal levels for everything. *Upstairs 322...

One problem I've been having with our upstairs 322 is that, even after reboots, etc - the guide will "forget" it was ever updated (give it a few hours or a day after I do an update of it), and when you go more than 30 mins ahead in the guide, it screws up. :eek: Kinda annoying, any suggestions?
