Miggy can't be expected to carry the team in his condition... Others better step up soon.
Miggy hasn't been able to drive the ball since August or there abouts.
He is this team, when he goes, the Tigers go, when he doesn't, not many have been there to pick them up.
Thank goodness Jhonny stepped-up and put one of the park to tie the game; 3-3 after six with Max coming into pitch. Great move IMO. We cannot afford to have the bullpen blow this game.
It's an easy call, if the Tigers feel that the Old Verlander is back, which they must feel.
Why the Heii did Leyland take Peralta out of the game when he's one of the few that are hitting for them ?
To let dirks run for him. He was in scoring position and he is slow. He may have scored on that play anyways but dirks made it easily from second.
So now you have a NO Hit guy hitting 6th. along with the Avila's and Iggy's at the bottom of the inning.
Jackson, who has been striking-out all series, gets a broken-bat hit to take the lead. Let's Go Tigers!
I'd rather have Johnny's bat too but Dirks just scored what could possibly be the winning run. I won't second guess him when it works out.
Maybe, just maybe that will be the hit that turns his luck around, provided the Tigers win that is ...
