Ciel-2 Signal Monitoring

I think it's US beam because if it was CAN beam my numbers would be much higher like I get with Bell (90's). I get fair numbers on 110/119 too way up here. :up

New scan from 7:42am 2/7 to 7:55am 2/8, only one change happened: tp23 between 7:06pm and 7:19pm.
Check your signal level on the tp23, could be tpn swap.
But at my area there is no changes in signal level.

i thought i was north im in thompson mb i get 35 to 45 without tweaking 1 meter dish ...for some reason at 9 pm i get 50 + until 3 or 4 am ...Im still getting 100 % on echo 5

Just slightly stronger than expected for your area. This is a great satellite!

No change here in N. CA. It's still a rock-solid 70.

There was definitely a change of some kind on tp23 last night. I was was watching HBO Comedy last night at that time and the screen went black for that time period. I still had signals on the other tps in the 17-32 range, but got a zero on 23, then it popped back up.

This one in CONUS range [17..32], I agree it should be seen all over NA CONUS area.

Other three transponders gone last night at 12:02am.
Captured time 8:02am 2/8 to 7:26am 2/9.

nelson, if you were to go over to the BellTV (expressvu) thread, you think you could make a similar master map of all the people who posted their signals for the Nimiq satellites (and then you can use that to draw up an estimated footprint contour of the satellite which can then be embeded into the uplink reports)...

I think nelson61 explained this before. The Canadians don't release this info on their satellites like the US ones do. They only released it on Ciel-2 since it was meant for a US broadcast.

Another scan - 7:31am 2/9 to 7:42am 2/10; I see tp2 been on low power between 0:57am and 4:04am (top bar).
