So does Direct TV capitalize on Dish and Uverse (apparently) not having AMC with ads, or remain more low key because they may have a dispute. (I have no idea if they are even close to having to resign AMC...)

If you have AT250 the replacements give us nothing for our loss. I fully understand taking a stand against higher prices, but why am I paying higher prices for channels that are given away to the lower tiers?

Get a lower package? I don't disagree, Dish has given less reason to get the Top250, maybe even the BB package. But there is still a difference depending on what you watch of course. Half the price difference is the Encore movies, and even though they are in SD except Encore, we do watch them often. Bio, Natgeow and cook do get watched by the family so I guess it's still worth it for us. But it would be nice to get something added at some point since other packages did.

Stupid article, AMC has been saying that on their site all along, nothing new. It's not that I do or don't believe them (AMC), (but with Uverse pulling the plug I tend to believe them less) but don't write an article that makes it sound like this is all new information.
