Hello everybody,
I'm from Rome, Italy.

I hope someone could help me in this, because I'm going mad.
First of all sorry for my bad english:)

I've Edision Mio 4K+ connected to a H-H Rotor and TNAP 6
Tuner A fails if I switch from a satellite channel to another one of the same (strong) satellite position, in particular from Horizontal to Vertical trasponder.
also It fails if I watch a satellite channel, switch to iptv, return to the original satellite channel.

It happens with various images I've tested.

It does not happen with other enigma2 satellite receiver.

TNAP Enigma2 image has "Tuner driver selector" and you can choose 4 different driver:
It seems it works normally if you choose "No T2-mi driver".
But I need to use the t2-mi ready driver .

I kindly ask for your help because is overall a great receiver but I can't use it in this situation.

Thank you in advance.

Best regards.

My experience with TNAP 6 is that it's great with the non-T2MI driver but not so good with the T2MI drivers (missing lots of transponders on blind scans).

Did you try TNAP 5.1? Its T2MI drivers work very well. So my suggestion would be to install TNAP 5.1 in another slot and see if the problem persists, if you have not tried that yet.

I agree with Brct203. Try what he says first. Although TNAP6 is good, I still get unexplained things happening occasionally.

I have almost the same setup as you but I don't experience the issues you describe even when using the T2MI driver with TNAP6. How long is the cable from receiver to dish? Be sure the voltage reaching your dish LNB is correct: 19V on horizontal transponders, 13V on vertical transponders.

You may simply have a hardware problem. Have you had lightning in your area recently?

Another +1 on trying TNAP 5.1 in another slot before you waste any more worry on this issue. It's likely just TNAP 6 in current state.
I tried using it for a little, and ended up coming right back to 5.1 for stability.

This is a good case for why multi-slot capabilities come in so handy for testing things.

I haven't had a good experience with the T2MI driver in 5.1 either. It doesn't fail on simply switching polarities like the OP's system, but it will randomly fail after blind scans, and randomly fail when coming out of standby mode. There doesn't seem to be a set time period, but it WILL eventually fail if the box goes long enough without a reboot. Sometimes it's days, sometimes it's just hours. It's NOT a hardware problem, because the non-T2MI driver has no such issues.

I saw some discussion on this on one of the European forums, but there was no resolution. Everyone agreed that it was a driver problem, but then the discussion degenerated into an argument over which driver version was the current official release, and eventually it just stopped.

EDITED TO ADD: My Mio 4k is not a "+" version. I do not know if there are any differences in the driver for the primary tuner, but it is the same tuner, is it not?

May be kind of off topic but I have the version of 5.1 from TNAP Images installed in one of the slots of my mio4kplus. Unlike the versions of TNAP5 and TNAP6 I have installed, it does not detect the Hauppauge 955Q ATSC tuner. Anyone know where I might find a version of TNAP 5.1 that does detect the 955Q ATSC tuner (while ATSC 1.0 is still working)?

Have a copy of 5.1 for the Mio4k+ on the HDD I can share.

Many thanks.

I had read there was a version that supported the Hauppauge tuners but I couldn't find it.

The file has been saved to a couple of my NAS drives as well as the primary computer I use to access the Edisions.

Again, thanks. I appreciate your assistance.

sorry I can find just version 6 here, am I wrong?

Any way to get rid of awful Anime image in TNAP?
