It took me quite a long time to complete this project, partially due to my health issues. As I got rid of original brackets, initially I made adjustment of two 1/4" rods and plastic semi-circles. But it was cumbersome to adjust. A few months ago I decided to try to build something better. I used 1/2" stainless steel threaded rod and other parts made of aluminum. Now the dish can be set up to very high altitude - not for satellites, as in my location there are none that high, but rather for experiments with Sun and small mirrors during summer.
8 years ago I posted some info about this dish and also about wooden 6" x 6" post with aluminum pipe for it - the wood cracked, but otherwise is OK.
