Reported on ESPN at 8:34 AM:

Washington Redskins executive vice president of football operations Vinny Cerrato has resigned, a team source tells ESPN NFL insider Adam Schefter.

It was not immediately clear when the team would make an official announcement.

The resignation was first reported by ESPN 980 in Washington. D.C.

So, what will he do for a living? Convince another team owner that he will do for their franchise what he did for the Redskins, or blame his team's failures on being pressured to endorse whatever his meddling boss told him to do?

The 'Skins have a "head of football operations"? I thought his name was Dan Snyder? Hmm. Never knew this guy existed.

In his letter he mentioned Joe Gibbs, Greg Blache and Sherman Lewis as great coaches he had worked with and did not mention Jim Zorn. Word around here is that there was no love lost between the two. Don't know what this means as far as Zorn's future.

I saw this, this morning. This guy should have been fired a long time ago or never brought back after the first time he left.
