The "Point/Counterpoint" on the Golf channel yesterday morning between Frank Nobilo and Brandel Chamblee on whether or not Tiger should DQ himself was interesting. I have to say, Brandel Chamblee really comes off as a pompous D-bag.
I think the entire argument boils down to whether you like the TV rule or not. Two years ago Tiger would have been disqualified regardless if the error was intentional or not. Personally, I can see both sides of the argument as having merit...but it's a moot point since the new rule is the rule.
I just got home so it's time to strip down to my shorts and play with my balls...er, the balls I was given from the 1979 U.S. Open at Oakland Hills Country Club. (Lol)
Bernard Langer starts his final round Birdie, Birdie to move him to -4 and 3-shots from the lead. Not bad for the 55 year old. Langer won the 1985 and 1993 Masters as his only two majors wins.
Phil Mickelson finished his final round +1 and the tournament at +9. 14-year old Tianland Guan finished him round at +3 and came in at +12 to finish the tournament as low amateur.
Lee Westwood just missed a 5-foot Eagle putt on #2, which would have put him back into the hunt. Tough miss for one of the best golfers to never have won a major.
Holy Crap! Kevin Na hits 3-balls into the creek on hole #12 and logs a 10 on the par 3. Yikes! I don't even know what you call a +7 bogey??? Never mind, Google says it's a Septuple Bogey.
Bernard Langer birdies #3. AMAZING! Elsewhere, Tiger starts off with a par on #1. Jason day just suck an excellent putt for birdie on #1. Things are shaping up just nicely...
Well, Cabrera's 3-shot lead didn't last as the wheels came off his game. The Aussies are doing well and Jason has a 2-shot lead...could be his Day.
Scott and Day are now tied at -8 with a only a few holes to play with Cabrera a shot behind with 2-4 holes to play. Nail biter...
Erin may have gotten the house, but Adam Scott got the Caddy and the 2013 Masters. What an outstanding tournament.
