IMO, the 2 stroke penalty is fair, however, if Tiger had DQ'd himself, he would have earned the admiration and respect of many, and maybe even some of the folks that still hate him because of his personal imperfections.

Winning gains respect. Why should Tiger DQ himself if didn't know he did something wrong? Now if he deliberately did it and defiantly signed his card... He SHOULD be either DQed or he should DQ himself.

I like the new TV rule, I'll tell you why. It about fairness. Players like Tiger, Rory, Phil, ect. have every single shot on TV. If someone like DA Points had done what Tiger did, no one would of known because I don't think they showed 1 shot of his on TV, so no nerd calling the CBS truck.

LMAO! True...

The "Point/Counterpoint" on the Golf channel yesterday morning between Frank Nobilo and Brandel Chamblee on whether or not Tiger should DQ himself was interesting. I have to say, Brandel Chamblee really comes off as a pompous D-bag.

I think the entire argument boils down to whether you like the TV rule or not. Two years ago Tiger would have been disqualified regardless if the error was intentional or not. Personally, I can see both sides of the argument as having merit...but it's a moot point since the new rule is the rule. :)
