DISH Drops AMC Networks (AMC Back on DISH channel 131)

No need to read any of the posts. To sum it up, Dish is the best TV carrier.

LOL, I meant a summary of what happened (easy, AMC and associated channels went away) and what Dish is doing about it (I think, but not sure, some people got offered some streaming hardware and credits or something? Why didn't I get that email? etc.)

I don't watch anything on that channel, hardly noticed it was gone, but hey, if there's free something involved...?

People have been calling and Reporting on here various monthly credits and some have also been given a roku player to help watch the programs that are on AMC

I did the chat thing and got nowhere so i called the 888 number. The csr didny know anything and told me about a free preview thats going on. They transferred me to a specialist who offered the roku and $35 credit. I took it. I didnt ask about the $10 off 12 because im already getting it, didnt think id get ot twice

LOL - if you have a package that contained AMC Dish for many (most) customers is giving you a Roku so you can watch episodes of some of their original programming that way, buying episodes on Amazon. (or possibly other ways)

I giveup!......I have contacted Dish multiple times and complained about the picking and choosing of which customers receive this offer. I have been unable to get the free Roku and anykind of credit. Admittedly I already have a $10 credit for 12 months so wasnt pushing that but they wouldnt even offer me a Roku. How is that fair??

I have contacted the dish chat twice and called the 888 number but still no dice for me. Each and everytime I do talk with the Loyalty Department but they dont budge with me! They wont give me anything.....god I hate these companies!. They even had the nerve to tell me to go and buy a Roku!...they are cheap!..lol. Why should I do that when you are giving them to customers....how unfair!.

Yes I have the 250 package....I umderstand they cant give me a credit as I already have one but not offering me a Roku is just down right disgraceful after knowing that hundreds of others are getting one.

My local Bright House Cable is offering their basic package without DVR for $10 month for 12 months as an add-on to my Road Runner internet service. Bright House has AMC in the basic package.

Question: If I add BH basic cable and run the cable into the OTA jack for my 622 DVR will the 622 pick up the channels 2-83 and add them to my guide and allow DVR use? If yes this is a great option for only $10 more per month.

The consensus is that it's a Roku 2 XD, which is wireless only. The image I showed of the original Roku XD is both wireless and wired.
