I wasn't sure what that meant; I'm am neither a fan or in their DMA. I will watch them when my team isn't on and they are or if they go father in the playoffs which should be a guarantee. But one again my name got put out into something for no apparent reason. Silly.

Sorry Charper,
I clicked on the wrong post and did not realize it until it had posted.
Someone had posted above about :
"If they take the HD special channel down (95) they won't be able to see thier Yankees in HD", as if they own the channel.

Didn't mean to drag you into anything :hatsoff:

You had posted about 95 being the special events hd channel. As a good Yankee fan I was just getting in a plug for my team. :) No offense meant, hopefully none taken.

Oh no offense at all, just confusion. Not being a Yanks watcher (except on national coverage) I never equated them and the SE channels together. And I promise if my hapless Dodgers fail (LOL) I will be watching and pulling for your Yanks.

Many of the Yankee home games are shown on 95. Good thing for us CT Yankee fans since we are not eligible for the mpeg4 YES hd feed.

i dont know if this was posted already but tnthd was the last channel started in hd so its the first one shutdown for sunday ticket besides ppv.does this makes sense?

It makes no sense that any 24/7 channel like TNT should be shut off; regardless of if having a SD counterpart and "maybe" not showing any HD at the time.

Exactly Sean it was a stupid mistake. And I think everyone who was affected by D* stupid mistake should yell and scream about it.

However I dont appreciate people who granstand and pop in every once in a while to say told ya so.

Funny when rumor was that D* was going to launch RSN locals in HD on July 1st and it didnt happen there was Sean saying oh what happened guys no HD RSN too bad.

And I notice same thing now. Some people seem to have D* envy. You know the kind of guy that gripes about D*'s HD lite issue. Funny how you started a whole thread to defend E*'s HD lite.

This place is designed to solve issues and hear complaints and share our experiences. Having someone standing on the sidelines shaking there head saying I told you so gets annoying when that persons own house isnt in order. E* has plenty of issues.

If E* was the answer to D* then people would have switched already! But its not, it has its own problems!

Since you like E* and have E* enjoy it. Dont you think there are enough trolls on here without adding to it?

btw read my posts...Im ripped that D* cant solve my HD pq issues and have called and griped and written about them here.

Exactly :hatsoff: That about sums it up.
IMO if D* has a change of tune and shows Nascar it will be because of all the people that called or e-mailed or posted on forums there opinions or displeasure.
Not those that have posted threats and foul language remarks that gets us no where.
I have to laugh and I am sure D* does also at some of the posts I read on these forums.
Also we do not need others so embeded in the E* bucket on here fueling the fire.;)

Looks like it's official...........NO TNTHD

Thanks for asking about TNT HD. I know it can be frustrating when the HD programming you’re looking for isn’t on, and I understand that HD programming on TNT is important to you. In order to provide extra channel capacity for high definition NFL SUNDAY TICKET SuperFan games, we’ve had to make some temporary changes to our programming. Specifically, we’ve reduced the number of Pay Per View movie choices and taken down select channels, including TNT HD on Sundays during game time.

This change will only be for one day a week during the NFL regular season. TNT HD will return on Sundays at 8:30 pm Eastern (6:30 pm Mountain; 5:30 pm Pacific) and during game time the standard definition TNT will still be available.

Moreover, you are important to us and we certainly want to keep you as a customer. We know you have a choice in providers, and we must continually earn your business.

A service specialist will call you in the next few days to discuss what we can do to meet your needs.

Thank you for your patience, and for giving us the chance to respond to your concerns.

Sincerely,

Darwin Earl
DIRECTV Customer Service

Hello E*

switch like I did, sell the box on Ebay...they let me out of the contract....i got hd out of the butt tomorrow at 1pm cst :up

Mad?????? You made your decision, now are you on some moral ground to start converting others. This thread had nothing to do with switching providers, c'mon, your better than that.

Hell, I don't care if they turn off all the freakin channels on Sunday as long as I get to see my Eagles, but you don't see me saying that in the forums do you???

Then there is this which I got from Ken H at avsforums.

From TVWeek.com's High Definition newsletter, a weekly source of breaking HD news, articles and interviews written by Senior Reporter James Hibberd.

DirecTV's lineup is so crunched that last Sunday TNT HD was taken off the air to temporarily make room for NFL Sunday Ticket HD. In other words, the service literally cannot add an HD channel without taking one down.

Romulo Pontual, DirecTV's executive VP and chief technology officer, said this week that on future Sundays, the company will not necessarily yank TNT HD but rather "whatever [channel] is not relevant for the afternoon."

This is bullcrap, I was wondering what was going on until I reached this thread. They removed the mix channels (who really cares), but when they pulled TNTHD, I was pissed. They need to pull all of those stupid Chrisitan and Shopping channels first before they pull a channel that subscribers really care about and are paying good money for. If this happens again, I WILL switch to echostar and directv can take their early temination fee and shove it up their ass!!!!

Just removed HD Pack and downgraded from Total Choice Premier to Total Choice. If everyone removes the HD-pack, this will send a strong message to Directv. Bastards!!!!!

The NASCAR race show up in my guide for 1PM Son. on ch. 75. Not that it guarantees it will air.
The regular programming banner showed up with the normal programs listed last sunday as well.... And the Sunday Ticket was shown on the screen, but not in the banner or guide.... I hoe this makes sense.

It has been stated in several forums now, that D* will not pull TNTHD for the next
two weeks. Since they will be showing 9 games in H/D next Sunday, the question
is which channel(s) will they be pulling?? I guess we will find out Sunday.
