Tough loss last night for the home team with Fielder getting thrown out at home plate in the bottom of the 9th.
We're having another pitching duel this afternooon; 2-1 Tigers bottom of the 5th.
Did you realize that Alex Avila is hitting .313 since the ASG ?

...and Victor is hitting .370 - nice! Also nice is that Alex hit another HR in the bottom of the 8th and the Tigers pulled-out a 3-2 win this afternoon. We stranded a buttload of base runners.
And the Magic number drop to at least 9, maybe 8, didnt see what the Indians did.
Porcello takes the mound for the Tigers this evening against Seattle. Today's magic number is 9.

Once again, who is that pitching for the Tigers this evening? He almost looks like Rick Porcello...except he's pitching very well.

Thats good for us, bad for Cleveland ... Indians are very close to becoming the WC team, only 1/2 back now.

Just saying this is probably doom for the Tigers but for whatever reason I'm not worried about the Indians catching us. I'd like to see them finish up well enough to take a wild card spot.
I agree, the Indians won't catch the Tigers this late, but it would be interesting to have them in the WC, seeing people basically handed the WC to the AL East already. Kinda like it belongs to them.
I would love to see an AL Central team get a Wild Card. The Indians deserve it and, if it weren't for their dismal record against the Tigers, they could very well be leading the division. Just as long as we take care of business then good luck to Cleveland.
