cant find it now but i distinctly remember a chart in directvs presentation earlier this year basically showing the HD stuff pretty flat this year then shooting up next year.

capacity that is...of course no one in the world has HD sci fi or USA. So how can we expect our companies to have them?

So I've got 100 on one transponder on 99, 86 on one transponder on 103, the rest are 0
101 at about 75, 110 at about 75, 119 at about 65-70
does this sound like my AT9 is aimed correctly?

Update for Nashville area....53 on TP 3 and 48 on TP 7...the signal strengths seem to be getting stronger in this area currently.

Here west of Minneapolis I'm getting 98% on both transponders 22 & 30.

But NOTHING on 103 yet (HD locals become active on April 19th...*rumored*).

I'm wondering if it's aligned right...

Doubt it....both S/W 1 & 2 are spot beams, designed for locals, not National.
We will have to wait for Direct10@11 in 2007 for more National(MPEG4) stuff.

Actually Spaceway1 &2 were designed for satellite broadband service internet.

The beams are highly configurable, and could be used in a Conus configruation.

mike_augie: 70-75 is normal on 101, 110 & 119 on the H20 - they calibrated low since the new Ka signal is much stronger and would blow past the 100 mark if they didn't punch it down a bit. You should read in the 90's for the 99 & 103 when they become active for you.

I don't get past 80 usually even on the 103 and mpegs 4 come in fine, same signal strength as most of the other satellites, and yes my older receiever had better signal strengths across the board too.
